Muscle Workouts

Welcome to Double Your Muscle

I’ve set up this website to assist anyone who’s interested in performing muscle workouts to build muscle mass, size, and strength.

Inside, you’ll find numerous tips and strategies designed to help you create a strong, muscular physique quickly. You’ll discover legitimate ways to increase muscle, a process known as hypertrophy, without spending hundreds of dollars on questionable supplement pills and powders. You’ll also learn about the many common myths and misconceptions about weight training to build mass and what the facts really are.

Benefits of Building Muscle Mass

  • Looking Better: Unlike other goals, the benefits of increasing muscular size and strength benefit you in every environment, not just in training or on the field. A buff body looks good on everybody, and it’ll bring you positive attention in and out of the gym. Whether you’re underweight and need to gain weight in muscle, or you’re overweight and need to melt the fat off to reveal the muscle you’ll be gaining, increasing muscle mass is your ticket to dialing up your attractiveness quotient.
  • Increased Strength: Whether it’s on the field or at home, developing stronger muscles is something you’ll appreciate everywhere. Increases in strength are a positive development in every sport, and being able to lift everyday objects – heavy equipment, boxes, furniture – makes you popular with friends and neighbors!
  • Increased Health: Most adults lose at least a pound of muscle every year of their lives. This muscle loss is a major contributor to a slower metabolism, which leads most adults to put on weight in fat. You can keep the fat pounds at bay or even decrease your overall body fat percentage by increasing your muscle.

And while, if you’re like me, the initial motivation for gaining muscle mass was purely social (i.e. trying to look better to get more dates!), I suspect that as time goes on, the health reasons will become a more important factor in your workouts.

Eating right, getting enough sleep, setting up a consistent routine – these are all things you need to gain mass, and they also improve your overall quality of life, regardless of the muscle  they’ll add to your frame.

There’s a lot of information here to help you develop a solid strength training plan to increase your lean body mass. As with any other goal setting exercise, you have to do your homework first: Do you know your current fitness level? What kind of body do you want to achieve? Which body parts do you want to develop? What are your current nutritional habits?

Once you determine your current level of physical fitness and muscularity, set a clear vision in your head of what you want to look and feel like once you’ve achieved your goal to get more muscle. Weekend warriors and Olympians alike know the value of visualization in reaching their goals. Put the power of visualization to work for you, and you’ll achieve your beach body a lot faster.

Once you know the bull’s eye you’re aiming for, develop a plan to hit it. Read the articles on this site about how to establish muscle routines in the gym: chest workouts, abs workouts, back workouts, leg workouts. Put together a weight training program that you’re excited about.

If you’d like help putting one together, here’s a great program that puts it all together for you:

No Nonsense Muscle Building.

If you get bored easily, that program’s especially good because it switches up the routines frequently to keep you from getting stale.

But if you’re like me and you prefer consistency over variety, this program is probably better for you:

Muscle Gaining Secrets.

Do your research, set a goal, and then make a plan to achieve it.

Good luck!
